The invention relates to the use of the oil phase of a flaxseed oil-alcohol mixture in a orally administered preparation for providing animal and human organisms with omega- 3 fatty acids. Said oil phase has an alpha-linolenic acids (ALA) content of at least 50 % and has a higher effect in the organisms in different processes which are dependent on the ALA-content as an untreated flaxseed oil having a comparable ALA-content. |
