PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable floating of a floating head slider for a magnetic disk recorder by solving the problem that the slider is sucked to a disk surface due to the meniscus of a lubricant in a floating micro-space region of≤10 nm and vibration by jumping occurs there, so as to reduce meniscus force and van der Waals force which causes it so as to eliminate contact vibration jumping. SOLUTION: At the head position part of a rear side air bearing surface of the slider, a projecting curved surface such as a spherical surface, an ellipsoidal surface, a cylindrical surface is formed. In the vicinity of its vertex position, a recording and reproducing head is formed. The floating height of the rear side bearing surface is increased to the degree of not causing suction, and a floating space in the vicinity of the vertex of the projecting curved surface is made to be smaller than 10 nm.
