PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a regenerative braking controller for vehicles capable of continuously applying regenerative braking force for a long time when the driver expects regeneration. SOLUTION: In a hybrid vehicle, a second motor-generator MG2 is coupled with left and right front wheels, regenerative braking force is applied to the left and right front wheels by operation of the second motor-generator MG2, and regenerative electric power is charged into a battery 4. The hybrid vehicle is provided with a range position sensor 28 that detects a range position selected by the driver's selecting operation; and a charge amount reducing means that reduces the amount of charging of the battery 4, when the regeneration strong range has been selected according to a regenerative braking force request.
