PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily achieve services using an IC card.

SOLUTION: An IC card system 1 comprises a reader/writer 11, and a service module 12 mounted in the reader/writer 11 and storing a program in advance for implementing the process of pocket services. Based on setting data read from a setting card 21, the IC card system 1 is set into a state where it can provide the predetermined pocket services. Using one customer card 23 having a plurality of pockets, a customer utilizes the plurality of pocket services provided by the IC card system 1. It is applicable to an IC card system that provides point service.
