<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make uniform the density of a multi-pole magnet, especially a multi-pole magnet made of a sintered body, in a magnetic encoder of this type. <P>SOLUTION: Samarium iron (SmFeN) based magnetic powder is used as magnetic powder, and tin powder is used as nonmagnetic metal powder. Mixed powder containing samarium iron (SmFeN) based magnetic powder of 20-90 wt% and tin powder of 10-80 wt% is compressed and molded to acquire a compressed and molded body 14'. The compressed and molded body 14' is sintered at a temperature lower than the melting point of tin powder, the nonmagnetic metal powder, to mold a sintered body to be a multipole magnet of the magnetic encoder 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
