PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary device capable of performing complicated motions by a simple structure and a method of carrying a wearing article and a method of folding a web using rotary device. SOLUTION: This rotary device comprises an endless guide means 3, a plurality of reciprocating motion parts 41to 4nguided by the guide means 3 for reciprocating motion, and a rotating means allowing the guide means 3 to rotate about its axis O. The plurality of reciprocating motion parts 41to 4nare arranged along a direction including components in the rotation allowed direction of the rotating means so that the plurality of reciprocating motion parts 41 to 4n can perform rotating motion at unequal speeds in the rotating direction of the rotating means or in the reverse direction thereof by the guide means 3.
