PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device preventing the leakage of a developer from space between a boundary part and a housing without increasing the number of part items. SOLUTION: The developing device is equipped with; the housing having an opening; a developer carrying roller provided to face to the opening; a first sealing member abutting along the shaft direction of the developer carrying roller so as to prevent the leakage of the developer; a second sealing member abutting on the end in the shaft direction of the developer carrying roller in the peripheral direction of the developer carrying roller so as to prevent the leakage of the developer; a second seal supporting member supporting the end in the longitudinal direction of the second sealing member and attached in the housing so that the boundary part with the second sealing member may face to the housing; and an energizing member provided in the shaft direction of the developer carrying roller, abutting on the first sealing member so as to energize the first sealing member to the developer carrying roller side and having an extension part extended to the space between the boundary part and the housing at the end in the longitudinal direction thereof.
