PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a noncontact type electrifying roller which can suppress electrification unevenness by making machine precision in an axial direction highly precise and maintaining and assuring electrification gap and which can impart superimposed AC voltage at low voltage, and further to provide an electrifier and an image forming apparatus equipped with the electrifying roller. SOLUTION: A resistance adjusting layer is formed by covering an electrically conductive supporting body with a thermoplastic resin containing an ion conductive high molecular compound by injection molding and a protective layer consisting of a thermoplastic resin composition in which electrically conductive particulates are dispersed is successively formed on a surface of the resistance adjusting layer. In the noncontact type electrifying roller having this constitution, the electrically conductive supporting body is made of either stainless steel of SUS440A, SUS440B, SUS440C and SUS440F and has an outer diameterψof 10 to 12 mm. An outer diameter surface of the electrically conductive supporting body is subjected to hardening treatment to form hardness within a range between HRC54 and HRC63. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
