PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electronic equipment for selecting much more states according to the operation of one operating member. SOLUTION: This electronic equipment is provided with an operating member 1 to be commonly used for the operations of two types of different functions and a control part 15 for holding the status of one function(first function) of the two functions as the status before the operation of the operating member 1, and for switching the status of the other function(second function) to the status different from the status before the operation of the operating member 1, and for switching the status of one function(first function) to the status different from the status before the operation of the operating member 1 when the operating time of the operating member 1 is shorter than a predetermined time, and for switching the status of the other function(second function) to "ON" only when the status before the operation of the operating member is a predetermined status ("OFF").
