PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latch type relay which has a structure in which a plate spring having a movable contact is forcedly moved in the direction of pulling out from a fixed contact, when an operating member which moves between an open and a closed positions by switching-on of a switching-on coil is moved to the open position. SOLUTION: The latch type relay has a control contact 4 in which by an operating member 3 making a reciprocating movement between an open position and a closed position by a magnetic flux generated in a yoke 2 by changing current flow to a switching-on coil 6, the movable contact 42 is contacted and separated to a fixed contact 41 and opening and closing of the current is carried out, and the operating member 3 is supported at that position by the magnetic flux by a magnet 9. The fixed contact 41 is installed on the first fixed terminal T1, and the movable contact 42 is connected to a plate spring 8 connected to a second fixed terminal T2, and one end of the operating member 3 is linked to the plate spring 8 and when the operating member 3 moves to the open position, it pulls the plate spring 8, thereby the movable contact 42 is pulled out from the fixed contact 41.
