PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic component capable of reducing power consumption of a circuit. SOLUTION: This electronic component has a movable structure element 2 formed on a substrate 11 and turned on/off in response to vibration from the outside. The movable structure element 2 comprises: a movable part 3 supported to the substrate 11 so as to freely vibrate; a moving contact 6 formed integrally with the movable part 3; and a fixed contact 7 disposed oppositely to the moving contact 6 in a direction in which the movable part 3 vibrates. The electronic component is so structured that the moving contact 6 and the fixed contact 7 alternately repeat a conduction state and a non-conduction state in response to the vibration.
