PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine oil circulation system regarding an apparatus, and to provide a method for detecting the degree of deterioration of lubricant. SOLUTION: An engine oil analysis system comprises an overall cylindrical housing, that is engaged to a port and establishes fluid communication with the engine oil circulation system; a punched annular sleeve, arranged concentrically with a housing in the housing; an annular filter element arranged around the annular sleeve in the housing; an entirely annular baffle, that is arranged annularly around the filter element in the housing so that engine oil is deflected radially toward the outside and is guided to the annular measurement chamber; and at least one capacitative sensor, exposed to at least one portion of the annular measurement chamber.
