PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ice storing structure for an ice-making machine capable of evenly storing ice pieces discharged from an ice-making tray through a surface of a water supply unit, in an ice storing tank, and substantially increasing ice storing capacity. SOLUTION: In the ice-making machine 10 where the ice pieces are produced by cooling clean water while spewing the clean water to the ice-making tray 11 having a number of cubes, and stored in the ice storing tank 14, an ice piece detecting plate 16 having a width of 1/2 of a width of a water supply unit 12 is relatively mounted on an opposite face of a swinging end of the water supply unit 12 inclined to discharge the ice pieces in a state that its lower end is swingable, the swinging end of the ice piece detecting plate 16 is popped up when the ice storing tank 14 is filled with the ice pieces, and its positional change is detected by a sensor. If necessary, a torsion spring is mounted on a swinging shaft S of the ice piece detecting plate 16, to apply the action for popping up dropping ice pieces to a lower depth direction of the water supply unit.
