<p>The system has an arithmetic and logic unit to compute a control signal based on predetermined landing speed and wheel circumference. An electric drive e.g. step motor, receives the control signal via optical fibers to accelerate the coupled wheels to the actual landing speed. A friction wheel or internal toothing transmits the force between the drive and the wheels of the aircraft.</p> |
