A method for fitting castors under load containers, e.g. crates, barrels, pallets etc., uses clamping blocks (20) secured to the lipped profiles via a simple clamping action initiated by attached levers (30). The castor wheels (40) are fitted to the underside of the blocks which are fitted to the load when supported by a hoist.
