PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a web authentication method, a web authentication server, a program, and a storage medium capable of securely conducting user authentication at the time of re-log in regardless of the kind of a web browser. SOLUTION: In the web authentication method for authenticating a user by displaying a basic authentication screen for a user to input authentication information on the browser and using header information of a request to which the authentication information input by the user is set, in the case that the user authentication is failed, the kind of browser is judged and authentication information is generated by using random numbers to be unique according to the kind of the browser and log-in status information representing log-in state is set to the authentication information.
