PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably feed an ink to a recording head both when an inkjet type recorder is set in portrait orientation, and when it is set in landscape orientation. SOLUTION: The inkjet type recorder is equipped with an apparatus body which has a body longitudinal bottom face to be the bottom face when the recorder is set in portrait orientation, and a body lateral bottom face to be the bottom face when the recorder is set in landscape orientation; a recording head which carries out recording by delivering the ink to an object to be recorded; and a connecting part which connects with a supply port of an ink cartridge with the ink stored inside and supplies the ink stored in the ink cartridge from the supply port to the recording head. The connecting part is held at the apparatus body to be rotatable in a direction whereby the supply port of the ink cartridge is directed into the horizontal direction in any case of portrait orientation and landscape orientation when the ink cartridge is attached, and in a direction orthogonal to the direction.
