PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively and efficiently achieve the cooling of a control device in a recording device. SOLUTION: The recording device is structured so as to deliver waste ink discharged from a capping device 59 to an ink absorbing material SP through a waste ink tube C. A part of the waste ink tube C is arranged in a state of contacting a heat sink HS to dissipate the heat of a head driver 108. Waste ink generated from the capping device 59 is delivered to the ink absorbing material SP in the waste ink tube C by the delivery force of a tube pump 591, and is discharged to the ink absorbing material SP after cooling the heat sink HS. By arranging a part of the waste ink tube C to discharge the waste ink generated from the capping device 59 to the ink absorbing material SP in a state of contacting the heat sink HS, the recording device can cool the head driver which generates heat and become hot by the waste ink flowing in the waste ink tube C.
