PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which enables a user being a subject to accurately and easily obtain an identity photograph. SOLUTION: An image pickup device 10 includes an imaging optical system 31 for condensing light from a subject 1 to form a subject image and an imaging device 3 for imaging an image corresponding to the subject image, and a specific range projection part 20 which projects at least an outline corresponding to a specific range of the image imaged by the imaging device 32 is provided on a screen 2 outside the image pickup device. The specific range projection part 20 includes a specific range setting part 21 having at least a light shielding part corresponding to the outline of the specific range and a light transmission part corresponding to a range other than the specific range and an irradiation part 22 for irradiating the specific range setting part 21 with light, and light radiated by the radiation part 22 is transmitted through the light transmission part of the specific range setting part 21 and then is outputted out of the image pickup device 10 while overlapping at least a part of an optical path of light condensed on the imaging optical system 31.
