PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve erasion or the like of a long and large capacity magnetic tape or the like in a short time. SOLUTION: A table 35 of a moving device 14 of a magnetic tape is moved at a right angle to a magnetic field direction generated in a magnetic field space 29 between a permanent magnet 21 and a permanent magnet 22. A magnetic tape case 34 is fixed to the table 35 by a magnetic tape fixing band 36. A magnetization direction of a magnetic tape 45 in the tape case 34 coincides with the magnetization direction. Therefore, when the magnetic tape 45 is moved at a right angle to the magnetization direction, magnetization of data stored in a track formed on a storage surface is arranged in the direction of magnetic field. That is, series erasion of data by movement of the magnetic tape in the direction of track is not performed but parallel erasion of data of the magnetic tape is performed.
