PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a disk-like information medium capable of preventing occurrence of a defect by suppressing a defect easy to occur at the drying after the application of a cooling liquid to be used for an ink accepting layer, and to provide a cooling apparatus of which a reduction of production cost is attained while being applicable for the manufacturing method, etc., of this disk-like information medium. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method for the disk-like information medium is provided with a printable layer 24 including at least the ink accepting layer on a substrate 22. Such a printable layer forming process is included in this method that a cooling process is executed from the face side opposite to a face of the substrate 22 whereon the printable layer 24 is formed, and simultaneously or after this process, a drying process is performed for applying the heating process from the face side whereon the printable layer 24 is formed. Also, the provided cooling apparatus is equipped with at least a placing section 12 for placing the substrate 22 and a cooling medium 14 internally disposed directly under the placing section 12.
