PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can avoid the reflecting in by the reflection of an external light entering from the side of a substrate without influencing light-emitting elements, drive elements, etc., when a bottom emission-type display device is adopted, and with which the increase in the number of manufacturing steps is suppressed, and to prevent its manufacturing method, and electronic equipment. SOLUTION: The invented device is a display device which performs display by emitting light from luminous layers 54 through the substrate 10, and the display device is equipped with a wiring part 28 provided on the substrate 10; a first electrode 42 provided by being electrically connected to the wiring part 28; a luminous layer 54 provided on the first electrodes 42; a second electrode 56 provided on the luminous layer 54 by facing the first electrode 42; and a light-absorbing layer 26 provided downward of the wiring part 28 so as to be overlapped in planar manner, with at least a part of the wiring part 28.
