PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air conditioner, decreasing the height of a fan suction port to cope with the layout where the wind is hard to flow in a fan. SOLUTION: This air conditioner includes: a blower; an evaporator; a heater core; a casing surrounding the blower, the evaporator and the heater core to form a duct for the air; an inside and outside air box formed as a part of the casing on the suction side; an outside air port provided in the inside and outside air box to suck the outside air; an inside air port provided in the inside and outside box to suck the inside air; and an outside and inside air switching door for switching between the outside air port and the inside air port. The air conditioner has the layout where the blower forces the air into the evaporator and the heater core, and the whole air conditioner is shaped like a rectangular parallelepiped. The air conditioner is disposed under a driver's seat. The whole of the upper part of the blower is covered with the inside and outside air box.
