PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface-treated metal having a characteristic surface film and made excellent in contamination resistance by this surface film, a manufacturing method for suitably manufacturing the surface-treated metal and a surface treatment liquid for suitably manufacturing the characteristic surface film. SOLUTION: The surface-treated metal comprises an inorganic-organic composite film, which is characterized in that the principal bond of a main skeleton is a siloxane bond and comprises at least one organic group selected from the group consisting of a 1-12C alkyl group, an aryl group, a carboxyl group, an amino group and a hydroxy group, as the uppermost surface layer.
