PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily prevent a defective discharge from occurring in a nonrecording portion while retaining a data amount close to a minimum necessary for recording. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device has a transfer position detection means LE to detect the transfer position of a recording medium, and controls the driving of pressure application means AC1 to ACn for each of the transfer positions on the basis of head action position data showing the type of an action which a recording head HD is made to perform in the transfer positions, controls the pressure application means AC1 to ACn to a type of driving suitable for a recording action on the basis of print data specifying nozzles to discharge ink droplets for each of the recording positions from among the transfer positions where ink droplets are discharged from the nozzles when the type of the action is a recording action, and controls all the pressure application means AC1 to ACn uniformly in a mode corresponding to the kind of the action when the type of the action is one other than the recording action.
