PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an arm supporting mechanism allowing a spline to excellently slide, which is easily assembled at low costs, and also to provide a tool exchanger. SOLUTION: The arm supporting mechanism is provided with: a tubular member 21 formed into a tubular shape; an output shaft 22 inserted into the tubular member 21; a cam follower provided to the outer peripheral face of the tubular member 21; a first cam for circumferentially rotating the tubular member 21 via the cam follower; a link bar coupled to the output shaft 22; a second cam for rotationally driving the tubular member 21 and the output shaft 22 via the link bar; a groove part 22a which is formed on the surface of the output shaft 22 in the direction of crossing the circumferential direction of the output shaft 22; a rolling member 50 which is arranged to the groove part 22a and rolling along the surface of the groove part 22a; and a support part 53 for rotatably supporting the rolling member 50 at a fixed position in the tubular member 21.
