METHOD, MOBILE HOST AND ROUTER PROVIDING PACKET SWITCHED CONNECTION DURING HANDOVER

The proposed method comprises receiving, by a mobile host, information about an identity of an egress node of at least part of a network using a first protocol for establishing a data tunnel between an access router and an egress node; sending a message comprising information about said identity of said egress node and an identity of said mobile host from said mobile host to said access router, using a second protocol for communicating control messages, associated with addressing of data packets. The method further comprises the step of establishing a data tunnel from the access router to the egress node, wherein the data tunnel carries data packets destined for the mobile host.
