PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a billing system capable of properly billing a content charge or a data processing charge when acquiring data of a server by operation of a portable terminal and performing print processing or the like by a data processor.

SOLUTION: In this billing system, the data inside the server 104 on a network 103 are selected by the portable terminal 101, and data processor information is transmitted to the server 104. The server 104 transmits user selection data and content charge information of the data to the data processor 102 on the basis of the information. A billing requirement signal from the data processor 102 is received, and portable terminal information and billing information are notified to a portable terminal company 4. The data processor 102 obtains the content charge and the data processing charge from the content charge information and the data received from the server 104, and transmits the billing requirement signal is transmitted to the server 104 when deciding that the data can be outputted.
