<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of point defects and line defects in an organic EL display device for forming the organic material layer of an organic EL element by utilizing an ink jet method. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the organic EL display device includes processes of: supplying a first solution, where an organic matter used for the organic matter layer 27 of the organic EL element is dissolved or dispersed into an organic solvent, to a plurality of first regions 40a separated one another in a foundation surface by an ink jet method; selecting those, where the amount of supply of the first solution is insufficient, from the plurality of first regions 40a; and supplying a second solution 45 containing the organic solvent to the periphery of the first selected region 40a in a second region differing from the plurality of first regions 40a on the foundation surface by the ink jet method, and supplying a third solution where the organic matter is dissolved or dispersed into the organic solvent to the first selected region 40a by the ink jet method. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
