<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing a seed, without requiring a terminal connected to Internet, display, printing device or strong storage container buried deep in earth, capable of transmitting one's feeling, message or the like to a partner after a prescribed period, a device for growing the seed and a marking device. <P>SOLUTION: This device for growing the seed 20 is equipped with the seed 10 including cotyledon having its surface 11 for displaying a pattern 15, soil 25 for growing the seed 10 and a container 27 for housing the soil 25 buried with the seed 10. The seed 10 germinates after opening the lid of the container and passing through a prescribed period.
