<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new pearl pigment which inhibits scattered colors, and its manufacturing method. <P>SOLUTION: The pearl pigment is obtained by coating the surface of a flaky powder with a colored metal or a colored metal oxide, wherein when the pearl pigment is applied on to the surface of black artificial leather in an average amount of 0.05 mg/cm<SP>2</SP>and the intensity of light reflected from the pearl pigment is measured using illuminant C at a 2°viewing angle with a spectrophotometric colorimeter which is provided with a polarizing plate S on the light incident side and a polarizing plate P on the light receiving side, the reflection light of the pigment which is incident to the pearl pigment as a measurement sample at an angle of 45°to the direction normal to the surface of the sample and is received in the direction normal to the surface of the sample has absolute values a* and b* of 5 or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
