PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data display device and a data display method capable of displaying significant information as to expressway-related facility. SOLUTION: This data display device of the present invention sets a route of a moving object moved to a destination, recognizes an advancing direction of the moving body, during the moving of the moving object on the set route, searches a branch route located in an advancing direction front side of the recognized moving body, based on the advancing direction of the recognized moving body, and existing on the route in an expressway or a toll automobile road, displays the effect of indicating the branch route when the moving object approaches within a prescribed range including the searched branch route, and erases the display when the moving object passes the branch route.
