PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify an operation procedure related to data transmission and to construct an environment of high convenience for a user. SOLUTION: As a data processing method suitable for an information processing apparatus capable of transmitting data of a transmission job to an external destination and selectively utilizing a plurality of kinds of destination designation methods as a method for designating the destination of the data of the transmission job, when a predetermined instruction is inputted via a user interface means, among the plurality of kinds of destination designation methods, a destination designation method designated in advance is automatically utilized and the destination designation method designated in advance is used to select the destination of the data of the transmission job via the user interface means by a user. Among the plurality of kinds of destination designation method, the destination designation method designated in advance is used to transmit the data of the transmission job via the user interface means to the destination selected by the user by the information processing apparatus.
