PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnet attaching method which easily and efficiently fixes a minute magnet of a plate type without using a double-sided tape, an opening/closing detection device, and a foldable mobile information terminal. SOLUTION: The magnet attaching part 2 of the opening/closing detection device 10 is composed to be provided with a charging hole into which a tip of a magnet 11 of a magnet group 111 which consists of a plurality of magnets 11, wedge components 331, 332 which are prepared in the charging hole, rail components 33, 34, a front standing wall 21, side standing walls 22, 23, 24, an arm component stopper member 31, and an latching component 24 which latches the charged magnet 11 so as not to return.
