PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the intrusion of sediment into a joint part of an impervious panel, when the impervious panel is driven; to form a cavity for infilling a water sealing material, which can exert the water sealing performance of the water sealing material; and to ensure the water imperviousness of the joint part of the impervious panel after the filling of the water sealing material. SOLUTION: In this construction method, the intrusion of the sediment into a female joint part 102b of the impervious panel 102 is prevented on the ground before the impervious panel 102 is driven into the ground 108, and easily crushable lightweight mortar 105 is infilled. The impervious panel 102 is driven into the prescribed ground 108 while vibrations or striking vibrations are imparted to the impervious 102. Subsequently, a male joint part 102c of the second impervious panel 102 is engaged into the joint part 102b via the lightweight mortar 105, and the joint part 106 is constructed by driving the second impervious panel 102 while imparting the vibrations or the striking vibrations to the second impervious panel 102.
