PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain cast coated paper that has especially excellent white paper gloss and surface smoothness and is produced in high efficiency in a wet casting method. SOLUTION: In the cast coated paper obtained by providing base paper with an undercoated layer comprising pigment and an adhesive as main components, coating the undercoated layer with a water-based coating liquid for casting, bringing a mirror surface drum into contact with the coated layer for casting under pressure while the coated layer for casting is in a wet state, drying and carrying out glazed finish, the cast coated paper contains calcium trisulfoaluminate having pH <12.0 in the undercoated layer.
