PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope apparatus for supplying illumination light optimal to each of a low magnification imaging optical system and a high magnification imaging optical system. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a light source apparatus 3 supplying illumination light for low magnification and illumination light for high magnification for illuminating an imaging area of an endoscope 1. In the insertion part 2 of the endoscope 1, the apparatus is provided with a low magnification imaging optical system 21 for transmitting the illumination light for low magnification from the light source apparatus 3 to illuminate the front side of a distal end, a low magnification imaging optical system 22 for imaging an observation section 6 illuminated by the low magnification imaging optical system 21, a high magnification imaging optical system 23 for transmitting the illumination light for high magnification from the light source apparatus 3 to illuminate the front side of the distal end, and a high magnification imaging optical system 24 for imaging the observation section 6 illuminated by a high magnification imaging optical system 23.
