<p>A rotor, an axial gap type motor comprising the rotor having reverse salient polarities and rotatable around a prescribed axis, a motor driving method, and a compressor. A plurality of magnets (12a, 12b) are annularly disposed on a substrate (11) with their polarities set symmetrical about a shaft hole (10). For example, the magnets (12a, 12b) present N-poles and S-poles on their stator side (toward you from paper surface).
