FIELD: forest industry, applicable for length cutting of logs. ^ SUBSTANCE: the saw frame has a bed with guides, two movable frames and two saw frames with saws, drive of reciprocating motion of saw frames and movable frames, as well as a wood feed drive. The movable frames have rollers entering the ellipsoidal slots of cams, synchronizers and roller drives providing synchronous displacements of the saw frames in the vertical planes, and of the movable frames in the horizontal plane in antiphases. The ellipsoidal slots of the cams may have such a shape that, when they are rolled about by the rollers, the movable frames provide a guaranteed gap between the saws and the saw cut at a no-load travel of the saw frames. The frame may have a feed drive providing a uniform motion of wood at a constant speed equal to the mean speed of motion of the movable frames. ^ EFFECT: reduced level of vibration at cutting, enhanced quality of cutting. ^ 3 cl, 4 dwg |
