A programmable logic controller peripheral device includes: an instruction table containing and correlating an instruction and an I/O type of the argument of the instruction; search judgment means for judging the I/O type of the argument of an instruction by searching the instruction table for the instruction in the code of the sequence program portion selected as usable data from an existing source sequence program; search result generation/storage means for combining the I/O type judged and the I/O type of the address in the code of the selected sequence program portion, thereby generating a search result and storing it; parts data generation means for generation variable data by replacing the I/O type stored in the search result by a variable name and adding a corresponding variable name to each variable and circuit information, thereby generating parts data; and parts data use means for using the parts data in an arbitrary position in the sequence program specified.
