<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine the circumferential rotational operating state of an intermediate transfer body, on the basis of history information of a circumferential length value of the intermediate transfer body, and to control image forming operation, on the basis of the determination result. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming operation is controlled, by measuring the circumferential length value of the intermediate transfer body, on the basis of a reference position in the intermediate transfer body, storing the circumferential length value as the history information, and determining the circumferential rotational operation state of the intermediate transfer body on the basis of the history information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
