<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing snack food without deep frying, for obtaining crispy palate feeling same as that of conventional snack food. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the snack food comprises molding a raw material to produce pellets, rolling the produced pellets, swelling the pellets through blowing superheated steam thereto, and favorably seasoning the swollen pellets followed by baking.
