<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a battery having sufficient adhesion, low internal resistance, and excellent high rate characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The separator for the battery is manufactured by carrying a reactive polymer obtained by reacting a cross-linkable polymer having at least one kind of reactive group selected from a 3-oxetanyl group and an epoxy group in a molecule with monocarboxylic acid and crosslinking a part in a base porous film. An electrode/reactive polymer carrying porous film laminate is formed by laminating an electrode on a reactive polymer carrying porous film, and housed in a battery container, an electrolyte containing a cationic polymerization catalyst is poured in the battery container, at least one part of the reactive polymer is swelled in the electrolyte, or eluted into the electrolyte, and cationic polymerization is conducted to bond the porous film to the electrode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
