PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper money discrimination system in which a transport mechanism does not need to be set in a detachable storage, while the detachable storage can be miniaturized, saved in weight, and easily strengthened by a simple mechanism. SOLUTION: The paper money discrimination system comprises an endless feed belt 32 rotated by rotating pulleys 35 and 36; a reversing guide 45 disposed to cover the outward of a back pulley 36 for guiding and reversing the fed paper money with the inside guide face; a feed member 46 fixed coaxially with the back pulley 36 at the rotating shaft 39 of the back pulley 36 having a plurality of elastic feed claws 46a formed and equally spaced on the periphery in which the periphery diameter of the feed claw 46a is formed into such a large size as protruding outward of the guide face of the reversing guide 45; and a groove formed the guide face of the reversing guide 45 to escape the feed claws 46a. The detachable storage 50 has a feed slit 50a to feed the paper money into the storage 50 with an opening in the vicinity of the termination edge of the reversing guide 45.
