PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure for connecting a footing and a pile together, which can enhance constructibility and reduce cost. SOLUTION: In this structure for connecting the footing 1 and the pile 2 together via a connecting member 4, the footing 1 is formed of footing concrete 6; a head of the pile 2 as a cylindrical steel pipe pile is filled with filling concrete 10; an upper end side of the connecting member 4 is embedded inside the lower end of the footing concrete 6; a lower end side of the connecting member 4 is embedded inside the upper end of the footing concrete 10; a buffer material 14a, which is formed of a material inferior in rigidity to the footing concrete 6, is inserted in such a manner as to be juxtaposed between an upper end surface of the connecting member 4 and the footing concrete 6; and a buffer material 14b, which is formed of a material inferior in rigidity to the filling concrete 10, is inserted in such a manner as to be juxtaposed between the lower end surface of the connecting member 4 and the filling concrete 10.
