<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce density irregularities when writing is carried out by a plurality of light emitting element array units. <P>SOLUTION: Three P sensors 11a-11c are set corresponding to three LED printing heads 3a-3c. A density of a toner image obtained by visualizing a latent image written by each of the LPHs 3a-3c is detected by each of the P sensors 11a-11c. A quantity of light (exposure energy) of each of the LPHs 3a-3c is controlled on the basis of the detected image density. Thus the density of the toner image is uniformed, and the density irregularities of an output image by the heads are prevented. Moreover, since the quantity of light of each LED head can be corrected, a density balance of all the LED heads can be always secured even when the quantity of light of each LED head changes from the early stage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
