IMAGE PROCESSOR, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND ITS PROGRAM

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor which can encode an original image with high compressibility and enlarge its decoded image with high picture quality.

SOLUTION: The image processor 2 generates a reduced image of the original image and incorporates information of high resolution (difference data between the original image and an enlarged image when the reduced image is enlarged with high picture quality) in the reduced image. Consequently, the image processor 2 can encodes the original image by high compression while maintaining detailed information of the original image and generates an image of high picture quality with arbitrary resolution when the encoded data are decoded.
