<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system capable of determining authenticity of a subject without requiring an IC tag reader or reducing reliability. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system includes a radio IC tag 10 attached to an object for authenticity determination; an authenticity determining device 20 connected to the radio IC tag via networks 50, 60; and a terminal device 31 used by a person who requests authenticity determination. The radio IC tag has a random number generating means for generating random numbers, a display means for displaying the random numbers generated by the random number generating means, and a first sending means for sending the random numbers generated. The terminal device reads the random numbers generated by the radio IC tag and sends the random numbers to the authenticity determining device via the networks. The authenticity determining device has a receiving means for receiving the random numbers sent by the radio IC tag and the terminal device, a control means for determining authenticity according to the result of collation of the random numbers received from the radio IC tag and the terminal device, and a second sending means for sending the result of the determination to the terminal device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
