摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device for OCB mode, of which the display unevenness due to retardation variations of optically anisotropic layers that vary with the temperature and humidity, is reduced. <P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device has a bend alignment mode liquid crystal cell and a pair of first and second polarizing films 14 and 24 disposed on both sides of the liquid crystal cell, has at least two layers of optically anisotropic layers 11 and 12, at least between the first polarizing film 14 and the liquid crystal cell 1, and has a cellulose acylate film 13 of which the optical anisotropy is fully lowered between the first polarizing film 14 and at least the two layers of optically anisotropic layers, wherein the liquid crystal cell 1 and at least the two layers of optically anisotropic layers 11 and 12, as a whole, satisfy the condition of retardation values in one among the measurements at wavelengths of 450 nm, 550 nm, and 630 nm. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
