PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a suction type ceiling fan with built-in blades in which illumination can be attached thereto, rotating blades are built in and a uniform temperature can be obtained by adequately agitating an indoor air. SOLUTION: The suction type ceiling fan fixed to a ceiling has a power source (10) in which the upper portion of its case is fixed to the ceiling (a) and a plurality of blades (13) are fixed to a central rotary shaft (11). A shield plate (14) is provided to the bottom part of the power source (10), and a shield plate (15) having a through-hole (151) at its center is provided to the bottom portion of the blades (13) to shield them.
